The Students' Union is here to meet the needs of its members. If you wish to participate in a sport that we currently do not provide for please get in touch. Competition information is available from the BUCS website.
So you've had a great idea for something we don't currently do, there's just a few things we need from you: a name for your club or society, a purpose, three students wanting to propose the club or society and two students wanting to be the Chair and Treasurer.
Once you've got this it's time to complete the Start-up form, if you want any help or advice with any of this Josh, Olivia and Simon in the Students' Union are here to help you do so.
Once you've completed the Start-up Form you need to send it to the Students' Union and it'll go to the Student Activities Committee, who get to officially recognise all clubs and societies. As soon as you're recognised by Student Activities Committee you're good to go and get on with the running of your club or society.
You can also look at this handbook for setting up new clubs:
New Club Handbook. Have an idea for an Activity, Club or Society but not sure if it'll work?
If there's something you'd like to try but you're not sure yet if it would work or if you want to run it, then the Students' Union can work with you to arrange a Give It A Go session for the activity, club or society and then we can see if it would work and if it'd be best for you or us to set it up.
