On Wednesday 28th November, Leeds Trinity Students’ Union are supporting a national campaign to showcase our member’s support of LGBT+ members.
“I am commitment to ensuring the LGBT+ community feel fully engaged and included within our sports programme. This campaign stems from a conversation with our LGBT+ officer, Lewis Benn, in which we identified that we needed to do more to ensure that LGBT+ students felt comfortable being open and participating in sports without fear. We aim to create an environment which supports and empowers all of our members to participate in sport and an environment which is inclusive of all abilities, backgrounds and identities.”- Jake, Vice President
Throughout all of our fixtures, home and away, on Wednesday we have provided our sports team members with laces to allow them to show their support, while captains are invited sign our LTSU pledge board. The pledge board stands for agreeing to combat any and all anti-social behaviour and discrimination in our club.
