We are looking for an individual to join our Board who has a background in marketing and communications or Students’ Unions.
About the organisation
Leeds Trinity Students’ Union is a campaigning and membership charity in Horsforth. We exist to support students to reach their potential. We are looking for one individual to join the Trustee Board.
The organisation has been through a period of exciting change and transformation. We are two-thirds of the way through the lifespan of our ‘Big Plan’ for the organisation which sets out key priorities for the Union until 2020. All Trustees will play a vital role in ensuring its success and input into our next strategic plan.
There have been a number of highlights for the organisation including winning two national awards for ‘Students’ Union of the Year,’ significant increase in our engagement and participation levels and achieving one of the highest election turnouts in the country in our recent elections. We are currently ranked 17th in the country in the most recent National Student Survey.
We run a number of services for students including supporting over a hundred Course Reps to independent support in our advice service through support from academic to mental health. We also run a number of campaign change initiatives, a diverse range of events and student sport clubs and societies and commercially run a successful shop.
Whilst the organisation is a small sized charity it prides itself on being exceptional in everything that it does.
