Meet Your New President: Rosario Tom

Say hello to your new Students’ Union President, Rosario Tom. Rosario’s no stranger to student leadership, right now Rosario’s working on an MBA while juggling roles like Faculty Rep, Student Ambassador, and Business and Law School Rep. Wherever there’s a space for student voices, you’ll probably find Rosario in the middle, not just listening, but making things happen.
Now, as your upcoming President, Rosario’s here to take that work further. Whether it’s speaking up at top-level University meetings or pushing for change behind the scenes, Rosario’s going to be out front, making sure that what matters to you actually drives decisions. Advocacy, teamwork, and real change - those are the goals. Rosario plans to work side-by-side with the SU executive, University leadership, and even partners outside the campus, all to keep student priorities at the core.
Rosario’s got a clear vision: make student life better, starting with your academic experience. Think clearer assignment instructions, more fair deadlines, and feedback you can actually use to improve. Rosario’s also really focused on careers, teaming up with different parts of the University to bring you more placements, mentoring, and career options when you graduate.
You’ll see Rosario out and about, too. Whether it’s open forums, updates, or making student representation stronger, the aim is simple - make it easier for you to speak up and see things change for the better. This job is about leadership and resilience, but above all, it’s about championing student voices. Rosario’s ready to get started and make your time here count.

Meet Your New Vice President: Charlotte Jowett-Walker
Here’s your new SU Vice President, Charlotte Jowett-Walker, and she’s all about building a campus where everyone feels welcome and excited to take part. If you’ve crossed paths with Charlotte, you probably remember her energy and genuine approach - she’s involved in societies, plans events, and is always looking to include more people.
As Vice President, Charlotte is set on looking after your social life and wellbeing. She’s the person behind the scenes making sure campus life is lively and supportive. From collaborating with the SU team to creating activities around welfare, socials, and sports, Charlotte wants something for everyone, no one left out.
She knows what it takes, too. As Social Secretary for Dance, Charlotte organised events, connected different societies, and brought all kinds of students together. She’s also run big events before, so she’s ready to create exciting, well-organised opportunities for all of you.
Looking ahead, Charlotte has some cool plans on deck: making signature events like Varsity and Awards Night even better, launching new ones like a student ball, and boosting support for societies and sports teams. She also wants more activities that cross campuses, more options for sober nights out or off-campus fun, and a bigger focus on charity and the community.
But more than anything, Charlotte’s here to listen. She’s keen to turn your ideas into action, and she believes in making Leeds Trinity a place where everyone belongs and thrives. With her creativity, commitment, and love for campus life, Charlotte’s ready to make a real difference this year.
