The Mental Health officer works to represent all students with Mental Health issues at Leeds Trinity University. Their work also has an impact on our welfare service, so they may work closely with our Vice President.

Hey. I'm Daisy. I am a Third year student here at Leeds Trinity University studying Philosophy, Ethics and Religion.

I am also Mental Health Officer here which is exciting!

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

Through taking on this role, I wasn't hoping to change the world. My aim is to touch a few hearts here at uni and make the transition and following years easier. I want to listen to what people have to say, encourage people to speak out and help to make changes to benefit the many students who will come after myself.

What are your top tips for Uni life?

My top tips for surviving University are simple. Eat well (I don't mean lots of junk food!!), sleep well and don't leave all your work until the last minute (it may seem like it will be okay at the time but trust me... It's so much harder!!). And most importantly... Have fun! This may be getting drunk every night for a few weeks or it may be having a cup of coffee and getting to know your fellow peers. It doesn't matter. Just enjoy yourself. These years will be some of the best!!
