"I applied for this job because I wanted to get a part-time job on campus when I first started university and it was the best decision for me to apply to since I have lived on campus for my time at university. I also wanted to work specifically within the bar to gain more experience and I thought it would be good to challenge myself! What makes it great working at the bar is how you're able to put yourself forward for shifts you're able to work when you're not busy with university work and socialising with friends. Student Trustee (Three positions)

Hours of work: 14 - 20 hours per annum 

Salary: volunteer expenses only

Closing date: ongoing

Interview date: rolling

Term: Fixed term 2 years (eligible only during study at Leeds Trinity University)

Start Date: Immediate 

Would you like to be involved in decision-making at the highest level in Leeds Trinity Students’ Union? We have an exciting opportunity for up to three Student Trustees to join our Board. We welcome applications from all courses, levels, and modes of study, but we are particularly interested in representation from current first-year students.

**Our Board recognises that it is not currently representative of the diverse student population at Leeds Trinity. We therefore welcome applications from Black and Ethnic Minority Groups.**

What is a Student Trustee?

As a Board member, you have full authority and responsibility to monitor the Union’s overall performance, focus, and direction. You join a team of External Trustees with industry expertise, our two elected officers, and two other Student Trustees.

No experience required

You will be provided with training on being a trustee, be invited to major student engagement and celebration events across the year, and to an annual trustee residential that will focus on developing both the Board and the organisation.

Leadership role

As a Trustee, you are responsible for fully understanding the constitution and bylaws of the Students’ Union. You will have an awareness of the day-to-day activities of the organisation and provide sound assistance to the organisation through your role.
