Leeds Trinity Students’ Union is a Charity led by students providing advice, representation, social, recreational, and sporting opportunities. Our services are supported by a staff team who are experts in their fields and enable us to sustain an environment for students to reach their potential.

Our organisation has up to 40+ staff working for us throughout the calendar year. We have been audited by NUS and achieved Very Good in people and continue to work towards Excellent.

Finance Assistant (Part-time)

Term; Fixed term to July 31st, 2022.

Pay; £18,200 pro-rata, £10/hr.

Hours; 12-18hrs/wk over 2-4 days (Negotiable).

Closes; 13th July 9 am.

Interview; 26th and 27th July.

Start date; Immediate.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our busy Finance team. The role will involve processing invoices, credit notes and reconciling payments, ensuring documentation is accurate, and supporting our Finance Co-ordinator. You will be joining an organisation that is fast-paced, fun and professional. We run a range of services for students from a bar/cafe to an independent advice service. You will work with a range of colleagues both within our organisation and externally. We are looking for someone who is good with people, has attention to detail, and is able to work both independently and within a wider team.

External Trustee (7 Meetings/Year + Training day)

Hours;  Approx. 14-20hrs per annum.

As a Board member, you have full authority and responsibility to develop policies, procedures, and regulations for the operating of Leeds Trinity Students’ Union. You monitor the Union’s overall performance against the operating and strategic plan. You also interpret the constitution as required. As a Trustee, you are responsible for fully understanding the Constitution and Byelaws of the Students’ Union. You will have an awareness of the day-to-day activities of the organisation and provide sound assistance to the organisation through your role. You’ll make the Board aware of any potential conflicts of interest and prepare for and attend board meetings.

Bar & Retail Assistant

Hours; Between 10am-12pm Monday- Sunday. Full-time Sep- April (35hrs) & Part-time May to Aug (21hrs).

We are looking for a Bar Assistant who will work predominantly within our food and drink venue with opportunities to gain insight into our retail operations.

You will get to enjoy a mix of operational shifts as well as developing your understanding and skills of our industry practices, including stock takes, stock management control processes, retail standards & customer service.

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who will support the Deputy General Manager with the delivery of the communications strategy.

You will be supporting our relationships with sponsors. Promoting campaigns for full-time officers. Developing high-quality digital content (Photographic, video, and infographics) relevant and engaging to Leeds Trinity Students. As well as working closely with all staff in ensuring our website and social communication channels reflect the interests of our students and effectively promote the activities of our organisation. We are particularly keen to hear from students who currently studying marketing, digital, photographic and/or communications-related degree.

We welcome applications from all courses, levels, and modes of study, but we are particularly interested in representation from current first-year students.

**Our Board recognises that it is not currently representative of the diverse student population at Leeds Trinity. We therefore welcome applications from Black and Ethnic Minority Groups.**

 

What is a Student Trustee?

As a Board member, you have full authority and responsibility to monitor the Union’s overall performance, focus, and direction. You join a team of External Trustees with industry expertise, our two elected officers, and two other Student Trustees.

No experience required

Student staff play an exciting and important role within our Charity. Be it providing a friendly face during Freshers’ Week, excellent customer service in StUdio, SU shop, running events, and supporting our campaigns. We love employing our members.

The primary social space on campus serving food and drink, day and night

2. SU Shop- On-campus shop providing essentials during the day.

3. Events- Freshers week, SU Elections, Re-freshers week, Conferences and Campaigns run throughout our calendar year.

Hours; Shifts scheduled between 9:00 am-11:30 pm to meet charity needs. Monday to Sunday (Sept and March only)
