Academic Group Reps work closely with both Course Reps and Union Presdient and act as a bridge between the two. This means you can work on issues that affect a wider range of students and issues that affect whole academic groups.
You will have the opportunity to develop communication and organisation skills, whilst improving your own academic area. You'll be able to learn about campaigning and creating effective change which benefits students you represent and get to know your course and your subject better, as well as students on your course and the staff you work with.
You'll also become more involved in your own Students’ Union and put the role on your CV.
