About Us

How are clubs & societies run?

Clubs and Societies are run by students who have been elected by their peers. Your Students' Union trains and supports these volunteers.

About us

We are Leeds Trinity Students' Union Men’s Rugby Union known as the 'Saints'. Choosing a club or society can be difficult, especially if you are unsure of your preference. However, there are plenty of clubs to choose from at Leeds Trinity. Here is why you should join the Saints.

Playing for the Saints means a lot to so many people and has become a highlight of our playing students time whilst studying at Leeds Trinity University, whether you are a level 4 (1st year) student or an alumnus. We are one tight family and we look after everyone on the team. The culture of our club is built by our people and player welfare is at the heart of the club ethos.

Here at the Saints, we take pride in being open to anyone wanting to play Rugby Union at Leeds Trinity University, no matter their race or sexuality. We also accommodate players of varied abilities and make sure everyone is given the opportunity to play Rugby Union for Leeds Trinity.

We are regarded as one of the most social teams at the university and can't wait for socials to return this september.

We will compete in the BUCS again this year. Player development is very important to the club. We also have contacts with local rugby union clubs in the local area, allowing players to get as much game time as possible during the Rugby Union season.

For those students on sports coaching courses or who want to explore the coaching route, the club can assist you in seeking out opportunities for this. Furthermore, our players past and present within the club have connections with local schools and clubs that can offer coaching roles throughout the placement period of the university calendar year.

If you have any questions about the club or feel like you would just like a general conversation, register your interest to the right of this page. Training times and other useful information will also be updated through the contact details you register your interest with.

I am interested, what do I do?

For now, just express an interest by signing up for the FREE "I am Interested membership" on the right hand side of this page. A committee member will then contact you directly with further information on the restart of activity.
