Leeds Trinity Students' Union exists to support students to reach their potential. We have won a number of national awards for our efforts including NUS Students' Union of the Year in 2017. The Students' Union runs a variety of services, which include Student Activities, Entertainment, Representation & Democracy and Advice services. The Union Engagement Team play an exciting and important role in our work with Leeds Trinity students. Be it providing a friendly face during Freshers’ Week taking students on a range of on and off campus activities, providing excellent customer service to students at one of our information points for events or coordinating a project on the Union’s behalf such as our Staff Awards, Green Impact or Give it a Go.

 

We aim to employ and develop our current students wherever possible as we believe you are the best people to know what Leeds Trinity students want. The role is flexible around your timetable and around key Union activity with a range of projects being offered throughout the year.

Freshers Helper Team 2018-19

Interview date: Phone call on per application basis

Volunteer to assist in the efficient and effective running of move in day. This will require, meeting and greeting new students guiding them to and from halls of residence and assisting with carrying and movement of their belongings. Training, free meal and Dicounted Freshers Wristband discount will be provided. See descriptor for more details.

Freshers SU Advice Volunteer

Become an SU Advice Volunteer for LTSU! You will be making a huge difference for LTU students, and will qualify for a £20 reduced wristband during Freshers Week (while stocks last). This will give you valuable experience for the future around issues from Mental Health, Student Wellbeing to Housing Advice

Union Engagement 2018-19- 'Give it a Go' Specialist x 1 Role

The 'Give it a Go' specialist is part of the Union Engagement Team but plays a more active role in planning, delivering and taking part in the 'Give it a Go' program. This includes day trips to Alton Towers, York and Harrogate. You will also be able to invite a friend of your choice on every 'Give it a Go' sessions for free. Current Engagement Team, as well as new applicants, may apply. 

 

We aim to employ and develop our current students wherever possible as we believe you are the best people to know what Leeds Trinity students want. The role will include scheduled weekly office time, regular mentoring from a proffesional in the industry as well as access to free events.

Digital Engagment Team 2018-19 x 2

Hrs: 10hrs/wk each

Length: Term 1 (14th September- December 14th) and term 2 (14th Jan- 29th March). 

The new Digital Engagement Team will spearhead the Student Union's social media platforms creative engaging content for & by students. The successful candidates will gain industry specific experience in Marketing, Journalsim and Events with a full time proffessional mentor throughout.
