Black History Month 2021
Fri 01 Oct 2021 - Sun 31 Oct 2021
Black History Month happens annually and is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions and achievements of Black people to the UK and the rest of the world.
It's also a time for activism, campaigning, and action to tackle racism and ensure that Black people and their histories are represented and celebrated outside of the month of October too. This Black History Month, we want to celebrate our Black students and staff so we're joining up with the national Black History Month UK campaign 'Proud to Be'.
We'd like to invite our Black* students and staff to take part by sharing what they are proud of via a short video, audio recording, or email. For more information about the campaign, check out the Black History Month website. If you would like to be involved, please email email@example.com.
*All students and staff of African, Caribbean, Asian, and Arab heritage are welcome to contribute what they are proud of.
What else is going on this Black History Month? We'll be adding more events as they're confirmed, so keep checking back.
