How are clubs & societies run?

Clubs and Societies are run by students who have been elected by their peers. Your Students' Union trains and supports these volunteers.

About the club

We have a competition team and a match day team. Both teams are for all abilities. Our competition team is a level two non tumbling team and we compete with other universities across the country. We are currently planning our training and will be practicing stunts, dance and conditioning. Our match day team will perform on a Wednesday cheering on our sports teams when they return to play. We also train for varsity which is where our university competes against another and is such a fun day for everyone to enjoy.

We pride ourselves in team spirit by being hardworking and supporting one another. Cheerleading is a great opportunity to learn new skills such as strength, flexibility and fitness. It is also a great opportunity to make new friends. We can’t wait to meet you!

I am interested, what do I do?

A new affiliation membership is available for this club. This £1 membership will allow you to vote and run for a committee role in our current election. This £1 will be deducted off your membership fees for the next academic year if you continue with our club next season. If you purchased a membership earlier in the year you will not need to purchase this membership as your membership is still valid.
