Leeds Trinity Students' Union exists to support students to reach their potential. We have won a number of national awards for our efforts including NUS and Educate North Students' Union of the Year in 2017 and have been shortlisted in 2018 and 2019. The Students' Union runs a variety of services, which include Student Activities, Entertainment, Representation & Democracy and Advice. Student Staff Awards Assistant

The Student-Led Staff Awards Assistant will pursue a variety of methods in order to ensure that we reach our target of 600 nominations for the student-led staff awards.  They will also support the Representation and Societies Co-ordinator with a variety of administrative tasks throughout the process.

Advice and Campaigns Assistant

The Advice and Campaigns Assistant will support the Student Adviser in delivering the SU Advice services to students studying at Leeds Trinity. This will include:

 

- Engaging with students and referring students requiring mental health support to the Student Adviser.

- Delivering sexual health and wellbeing services to students.

- Regularly holding Wellbeing promotional events for students.

- Coordinating and supporting elected student officers’ campaigns over the academic year.

- Assisting the Student Adviser in coordinating the annual Housing Fair for students seeking to move into rented accommodation in Leeds.

Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant will administer our Clubs in the British University College Sport League.  Additionally, they will be organising and delivering a 'Give it a Go' program which allows students to participate in one off or regular pick up and play activities.

Society & Sustainability Assistant

The Societies and Sustainability Assistant will work to grow our student-led societies, both in size and in number. They will build constructive relationships with the student volunteers who run societies and support them with running regular events. 

 

They will also support the Representation and Societies co-ordinator with LTSU’s annual Green Impact submission. The Green Impact Award is an independent assessment of how sustainable we are as a Union and the Societies and Sustainability Assistant will work toward achieving “Very Good” accreditation in

2020.

The Union Engagement Team play an exciting and important role in our work with Leeds Trinity students. Be it providing a friendly face during Freshers’ Week taking students on a range of on and off campus activities, providing excellent customer service to students at our events. 

 

The role is flexible around your timetable and around key Union activity with a range of projects being offered throughout the year.
